Besides drinking water, popping an ibuprofen along with it seems like the easiest cure to that pulsing heat and pain behind our eyes, in the back of the head – and all those places all at once where the headache just seems to be! Those who suffer migraines, you are not alone! I did too from a very early age – I would have migraines with visuals! Where noses on faces are missing – blind spots – or I see strange colours, it was not a pleasant experience that’s for sure, vomiting – the works. Thankfully I found the trigger was oranges or a flash of bright light so I became more aware of avoiding these things. You’ll be amazed to know I weaned myself back on to Oranges, 7 years after the migraines started and 10 years later I have not had another migraine! I refused to let migraines rule my life and I really feel as though I conquered the dis-ease of migraine
Some other common triggers to headache and migraines are:
- chocolate
- wine
- oranges
- not enough water consumed
- ear / neck / back / tooth problems
- stress
- MSG
- preservatives in food
There are more ways than one to cure a headache and today I want to share what has worked best for me in my experience
- The first technique is applying pressure at the points at the hairline, where your neck goes ‘in a little bit’ on either side of the top of spine. You can locate this area by holding your hands out in front of you like you are grabbing a watermelon with thumbs towards you – now, with your hands exactly how they are bend your elbows so your hands are up beside your ears, clamp your hands down on each side of your head and use your thumbs to pressure point into the back of your neck where your hairline, either side of the knob at the top of your spine. Use your other fingers to massage and press into your head as use use your thumbs to press up under your skull, and IN – HARD! you will feel pain – this is a good pain, it feels like medicine and when you let go, you want to do it again and again
- Another great pressure point is between your thumb and first finger, in that webbed part there. All you need to do is use the thumb and forefinger of your other hand to find it – squeeze around and when it hurts, you’ve found it. The more it hurts, the more that area needs to be massaged Speaking of massage, if someone is there to give you one, that’s going to really help too. As is sexual intercourse or masturbation, whatever you can do to reach a good climax will relieve your headache. Yes it may not be what you feel like doing right now, however it really does help alot
- I’ll mention too that a blend of Organic Lavender Essential Oil and Organic Peppermint Essential Oil is also a great combo for relieving migraines especially!
- Have a coffee (sound crazy? If you don’t like the taste have black tea or a strong white tea – the caffeine helps!)
- Increased Oxygen to the brain will also assist – get outside and grab some fresh air, you’ll feel a whole lot better!
- Drink Water!

The next technique uses NLP and visualization to rid yourself of headache and migraine – Set your intention to have an open mind as you read over this one! Reading and applying at the same time doesn’t work

have a drink of water first, sit or lay down what ever is comfortable – close your eyes – Feel your body already relaxing in a wave from your head, to your toe – when you notice the areas that are more tense than others, you will start to feel those areas too, relax even more
focus your eyes to the very top corner of the room – riiiight up there in the corner, where the walls reach the ceiling and maintain your focus there – take 3 deep breaths counting in for 3 and out for 3, while each time you breathe out you tell the headache ‘migraine be gone’
where is the headache now? behind your eyes? the back of your head? CLOSE YOUR EYES NOW AND locate the pulsing or the heat, or whatever lets you know you have a headache, think red – wherever the pain or discomfort is, red fills all the gaps of where it hurts, we’re about to pack together all the red into a ball, you can imagine this as as rolling red playdough together to form a powerful little ball of headache in your head
Now pen your eyes to see the top corner of the room again. Locate the powerful little red ball, now with a string attached to it – the string is also attached to where the headache is. We’re about to fling this thing out of your head, so it hits the corner of the room! You ready? Ok GO! Imagine the ball of red flys out of your head so fast! you watch the string, like a comet behind it – until the string tightens between your head and the ball of red up there splatterd in the corner of the room …
Now the best bit! Cut the string! you can do this by imagining big scissors (or do your fingers as a gesture – what ever is comfortable for you) >>SNIP<< as you cut the string, You instantly see blue filling up all of the spaces you sensed red before, it fills the space like cool crystalline water gushing in and cooling your head from with in…
close your eyes while you experience the cool blue

Like any good magic tricks, practice makes perfect – keep going until one day you notice you haven’t used any techniques for a while and the reason will be because you haven’t had a headache!
